What is ValorGem?

A professional platform for jewelers, gemologists and buy-and-sell shops: metal and gem calculators, and appraisal reports with a warranty certificate and QR verification. Born from the daily work of a practicing gemologist.

Who is it for?

Sector professionals: jewelers, gemologists and buy-and-sell or pawn businesses. If you are an individual and just want an idea of your gold’s value, you can use the public calculators for free and without signing up.

Do the reports count as an official appraisal?

They are professional reports, with the valuation basis declared and the appraiser’s signature. Their validity depends on the use and the professional who signs them; they do not replace a court expert appraisal. The public calculators are indicative only.

How much does it cost?

The professional subscription is €79/month + VAT (€95.59 incl. VAT), with a 14-day trial. As a work tool, the VAT is deductible for self-employed workers and companies.

How does QR verification work?

Every report and certificate carries a QR code and a public address (valorgem.com/v/…) where anyone —your client or an insurer— can confirm that the document is authentic and has not been altered.

Where do the gem prices come from?

From a gemological methodology: the platform computes a rigorous reference rate and the appraiser applies their own market judgment on top, which is recorded. The goal is a defensible price, not an invented figure.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in the browser, on desktop or mobile. Nothing to install or keep updated.

What about my data and my clients’ data?

Privacy by design: we ask for the minimum and you control what appears on each document. You can review the details in the privacy policy.
